Poetry Night | Ode to Blackness

Every other month, we organize a beautiful poetry night together with Gershwin Bonevacia (1992). Gershwin Bonevacia is a poet and spoken word artist. He has even published his own book!

Gershwin Bonevacia is regularly part of cultural programs with his characteristic way of reciting and has been the city poet of Amsterdam since 2019. He returns with his show ‘Terug naar Prinsenplein’ due to its great success, going back on tour in the Netherlands from the 31st of October.

For ‘an Ode to Blackness’, we invite singer-songwriter, writer and actor Nøël is to join special writers in paying tribute to Black culture. In honour of Black Achievement Month, we celebrate the strength and achievements of Black artists in the Netherlands with an evening full of poetry and stories.
